Feel Free NYC is a DJ crew and party that I helped co-found in 2018 alongside my friends. The concept is simple -> We get together to share good music and have a good time with friends. Over the years, we've met lots of great DJs
For a number of months (we might have lost count) Feel Free NYC held a weekly Tuesday-night residency at the renowned Kinfolk 90 on Wythe Ave. in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I created a series of posters on a weekly basis specifically for this event that explored a wide range of styles and executions within an identifiable Tuesday Tropical theme.
Refresh Rate is an experimental, multimedia party that often brought together music and visual art for the nightlife to suit Brooklyn’s arcade-slash-bar Wonderville. The name of the party is derived from computer monitors, and it amply reflects Wonderville’s unique environment of cutting-edge games that nod to a retro-futuristic aesthetic. During Refresh Rate parties, we paired the DJ lineup with a local VJ who was responsible for creating live visuals which were projected onto the performance area, creating a unique experience for everyone involved.
A monthly residency at Jupiter Disco, we dubbed our party as Personal Space to play on Jupiter Disco's space-theme. We concepted Personal Space as something that can be shared with someone else, or kept to yourself against the backdrop of Bushwick's nightlife.
